Speed Racer Crazy Track

Finn got a CRAZY Speed Racer track from his uncle Mark and Aunt Jennifer...It shoots cars around the track and then 3 feet into the air!

Mommy and Finn Walk #9 Coit Tower

Finn and I decided to walk up the Coit Tower Stairs to the top after school and work...Finn still has trouble going up stairs (does one foot at a time) but the he was a trooper and made it the whole way up and down with no complaints!

Finn and Mommy Walk #8 Corona Heights (with Daddy)

On Sunday we packed up Finn and some lunch and headed out for the Corona Heights walk (# 19 in Stairway walks in San Francisco)
We parked easily on the street (even though it was Pride weekend!) and followed the route down the hill. Here are Finn and Daddy at the start of the walk. We found a beautiful little beer/wine store and got some water and sugar free root beer for mommy. Then the hike began, steep streets then stairs to several landings on Corona Heights Park (locally known as "Red Rocks"). Here we are at the first landing.Finn got a little tired...but we finally made it to the top!! A nice stroll down the street to our beginning past amazing houses to our beginning...

Finn and Mommy Walk #7 Short Eureka Valley

Our walk today was short since we wanted to meet up with Daddy for burritos! We parked on Caselli Street then looked for the stairway beside 101 Caselli.

The houses are AMAZING in this neihborhood! We hiked up the stairs to 19th street where the stairs turned overgrown and high. Then we entered Kite Hill Open space...to get to the top was tough going, very steep and the pathway was small and overgrown with dry plants that scratched and poked at Finn! He was a brave expolorer though and we made it to the top. There is no wonder why they call it "Kite" Hill, the wind was REALLY strong with a great view and an awesome tree at the top. Finn was amazed by the wind and the huge tree...After a little bit he let me put him up to sit in the tree for a little. We then continued down Corwin street with some awesomely cool buildings and a community garden near the turnoff to Acme lane. We continued down and spotted the slides of Seward Mini Park. Finn and I were about to attempt a decent when daddy showed up! (Saved!)

Finn and Mommy Walk #6 Mt. Davidson

Finn and I have been going on long-(ish) walks after school and work everyday... Yesterday I found a book called "Stairway walks in San Francisco", first on the web and then Dan got it from Keplers for us. This book has 27 stairway walks which I hope we can try by and by! So yesterday we did the Mt. Davidson walk (#20) starting at the staircase next to No. 275 Juanita. Here is Finn at the start of the staircase...

We hiked up the dirt trail and it felt like we were soon out in the wilderness!

The way down Dalewood street is VERY steep and I find going
down a steep hill very unpleasant (would much rather go up!). So next time we will either reverse the route or walk the whole thing! Tonight we will walk the Eureka Valley walk then meet daddy for burritos!
